Vac Form Canopies - help!

I've got some vac form canopies to use on my 1/48 TSR-2, but I've never used them before. Any advice would be useful; eg do you glaze them with Klear? Do you cut them off with a scalpel? Thanks!!

Good link from Ray. I'd say don't use superglue,use kristal klear,gator's grip,pva or something similar. I found out the hard way!
