I use methylated spirits on both my airbrush and hairy sticks with no problems.

Gern

yes - both of those are fine Monica.

What I have for the airbrush, is a wondow cleaner mix 50% with water ( your Windex equivilent) which I blow through the airbrush to clean it. This is what I use in volume as it is a lot cheaper than a/b cleaner. I then use Vallejo Airbrush cleaner for a final squirt through as it lubricates (I also do an initial squirt of this before loading with the first paint of a session). When I break down the airbrush I soak the pieces in ipa and wipe the body with that to clean it.

For brushes I just use water but at the end of every project clean them more thoroughly with ipa.

Rinse well with water to get as much paint out first and DO NOT spray it though, pour it out. Once most of it is washed away, any amonia based window cleaner will take the rest. Or as said meths or iso alcohol. IPA. also call rubbing alcohol in some places.
