I had the house to myself and so off I went to my room. A room where, if I shut the door and have a quiet compressor running, I can't hear either the door bell or phone (mobile conveniently left in a kitchen draw) So, there I am working away on the He111, I looked up and this greeted me. No, it's always been there, but just once in a while, the sun catches it, and it looks like this.

A Japanese maple, 'on fire' I like Autumn. Well not when all those leaves fall into the waterfall and end up in my pond, but hey, a small price to pay for this spectacle.
