Hi guys,

This is my diorama for my Henschel Wehrmacht truck.

Posted already in another thread.

The truck got its camouflage on and a first washing.

The figures are painted with oil colors.

The dead body is scratch built.

Still under construction ...

Hope you like it ;)

Cheers Benny

Thx ;)

This guy is the first figure I painted with oil and looks good in my eyes.

The Grey beard is a nice decent gimmick ;)

I agree the oils do give it a more pastel shade, toned down and more subtle texture to the figures, top work.

I do a winter dio some time ago... and I use bicarbonate with 'white glue'. If you use water for thinner, the 'snow' looks worst. So you can imitate the ways of the traks or wheels. Can mix with two or three drops of clear resin or "still water Vallejo", for a nice frozen snow effect!

In the rear part of the truck with snow, some complements and chipping will look nicely! It's a great build, with a perfect camo Benny!

Do a winter diorama is very fun!! I recommend you ;)

Hi Benny,

I am liking this a lot, may I ask what did you use for the blankets please...

Did you make the sand bags also or where they a kit...

Andy...

If you mix some water resin and then add some fake snow, in the little flakes, they absorb the flakes but make the surface look like icy water.

My icy dio has this effect: http://www.scale-models.co.uk/threads/1-72-scale-dc-3-down-in-the-frozen-wastes.21906/

Hi guys,

I don't think I will make this a winter dio ...should be the last days of the third Reich in April 1945 ;)

But maybe my tiger dio will be with snow and ice :)

The blankets and also the sandbags are made of simple air drying modeling clay :)

Cheers Benny
