The two Peters create another masterpiece. This I really like.

Peter has done another crackignly good paint job.

This bust was inspired by a painting by Chris Achilleos - Eastern Princess

Since thef picture is copyright I used it as inspiration rather than copying it. Her armour is mainly Ottoman in style, including the unusual mixture of plate and mail neck protection.

She will be available from my Sarnia Miniatures website from Wednesday.

Peter, a beautiful piece of work , I wish you well with it.
I'm no figure painter, but can appreciate your skill.

Thanks for all of the kind words.

Rather than my normal technique of oil paint over acrylic I'm using Peter's painting tuition blog as the inspiration for painting my version in acrylics.

Hi guys

I hope that Peter does not mind me adding to his blog, here are some photos of my attempt to paint the bust - you can see why I do not do my own box art!

Resin bust of an Eastern Princess 1.jpg

I tried to follow Peter's tutorial and use acrylic - failed so reverted to oils on an acrylic base.

I tihnk I may have to refine the eyes a little.

Peter

ps - it is now available on my website

nice going on this,Peter,as we know, figures are not an easy thing to do,lots of practice,
the tutorial peter did was so good, must say I,did not read all, must go back to it,
did he say about putting your oils paints on cardboard,as it draws out alot of the oils, helping
in the drying time of them.,maybe of some use to use,and I see you asked peter to pm,you,
he will sort it,for you,great skill,and talent

Thanks for all of your positive comments people.

Peter, nothing wrong with your version at all - good to see a different take on it. Very nice.

This shows the versatility of the bust as two artists are able to come up with two different looks. Wonderful work all round guys. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for all of the compliments. i have doen a little more work on my version - refined the face and deepened the red:
