hi gals and guys

I'm looking for some weathering or creativity effects ( puddles )

With my Whippet tank I have a few figs and want to produce puddles in tracks left by the tank.

I've practiced a little on cardboard with drops of Pva then given light washes of dark greens and blues / whites but it's not looking like puddles

Any help?

Ahoy ship builders who do scenes would defo be helpful?

Do you want still puddles or rippling ones Robert? If still ones, I'd suggest cutting circular pieces from thin plastic - the packaging of sliced meat is ideal. For ones with ripples, use clear silicone.

As you're doing a WW1 subject, browns & murky greens are the colours I'd go for.

Patrick idea is one I,would say or even if you can get cheapo resin from the pound shop, will work nicely as well, ;)

This is really good, but their notion of gently warming it for a few minutes is not strictly accurate! I had to steam mine in a dish of boiling water for 20 minutes to get it to melt.
