Hi guys. Anybody out there can tell me if and where I can get an old original decal sheet copied, as the original looks like it is going to break up on application even though its been clearcoated.
Thanks , Andymustang2

Hi Andy, you dont say which kit or make but there are plenty of suppliers for decals out there to replace rather than reprint if this makes sense. Try Hannants.
Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply. The model is an old revell monogram 1/16 scale funnycar. It must be forty years old and the decals are after market Slixx ones, now obsolete. Sourcing new ones is out, so getting them copied is my only option. Theres got to be some place out there that can copy them. Will just have to keep trying. Its frustrating as the model is built and painted. Regards, Andy

I have seen this tip, though I haven't tried it myself for decal sheets that are old and just about to crumble
Paint or spray the top surface of the sheet with one or two coats of clear varnish; cut out close to the subject then soak & apply
Water will only be able to penetrate from the underside, so soaking will take longer than usual, and the decals will still be fairly delicate
