but then the Marder was definatly not a low silhouette yet in the first post it is named as suitable.

Fair enough, it's not exactly a low silhouette. But it is sans turret so it fits in better with the Jagdpanzer ethos.
A vehicle with a a revolving turret doesn't fit that ethos in my opinion.
