Hi all I've put my sternwheeler on ebay, I suppose even if I get a quid for it, it's better than putting it in the bin.

Can you post a link to it Ken.
There you go Richard: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scratch-build-mississippi-sternwheeler-/281750406970?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4199a2073a

Thanks Si as I said a quid is a quid, and you never know I may get a bit more, I will be happy with a tenner, I've got a model in my sights.

Good luck with the sale Ken, I think it's an excellent model. I couldn't build that from a kit, never mind from scratch!

Well looks like they're all destined for the bin. Not a single watcher on any of them, although someone messaged me to say the christine dio was great work( no offer though).

Its such a shame its a Lovely bit of work i would take off your hands if i had the room or even to travel for a pickup

Unlucky, must just not be the right audience. Maybe keep them for a show or something, see if anyone wants them then?

Hi all well it went for 10.50 the others are still at 99p don't finish till tomorrow and the day after will let you know what they go for.

Well the 2 bikes went for 3.76. I'm just going to bin the rest.

I've taken the christine dio off ebay, I would rather bin it than be insulted, I thought those 2 bikes were worth at least 10 quid each. I have to say I know I'm not a great modeller but, really 3.70.!!!

Selling models is a funny thing, something can make loads and others peanuts...weird. Keep the Christine Dio Ken, or at least hang on to it for now. It is a cracking build and I remember the input I had too...was excited seeing it come together.

Hi all guy came to collect the bikes today, nice guy, was impressed with the kits and insisted I took another tenner for them.

Hi Ken, I thought that your paddle steamer would have fetched a lot more than it did, but that's the chance you have to take when auctioning anything on ebay. Luckily, when I sold my Radio Controlled Aircraft Carrier, I got £400 for it, and made a slight profit, but I sold it on a ship building forum, where it seemed to attract the right kind of people.

Hope you are still gong to carry on making more models Ken, or are you just getting rid of some, to make more room.

Geoff
