discussion What to do after applying colour

Hi as you can guess I am new to this. I have applied the colour to my model. What do I apply next. some say top coat some say clear coat. Any tips and products would be helpful.

Personally I seal with clear, then decal. Seal again with clear, then weathering.

It is a Chinook I have used Mr Hobby acrylic paint I want to airbrush it

For aircraft most of us will paint the main base colour, add any post-shading or whatever paint effect you like, gloss coat, decal, weather and then apply your desired varnish over the top of the overall finish. Different techniques are out there for the various stages, experiment and spend some time looking at build threads and video tutorials. You'll find a technique that suits you, and have fun doing it whatever you choose to do.
