My favourite model is the spitfire. The spitfire not only looks great in real life but it looks great in any scale. Airfix do a great 1:24 spitfire with a motor to turn the prop.

Whats your favourite model?

Tom.

Hi Tom. I do love a Spitfire. My favourite however is its mortal enemy, the Bf 109. My favourite part of modelling is the painting and weathering and if I grew as old as Methusela I would not even scratch the surface of all the possible schemes. It's also not a bad looking machine in its own right. A 109 looks business like, even dangerous.

What?! A favourite which ISN'T an aeroplane!

Hi folks,

Although I'm new(ish) I thought I'd put my penny's worth in here. Of the kits I've built/started, my favourite by far is the 1/35 Leopold railway gun by Dragon. I've no idea what the Trumpeter version is like, but this is what I think is known as a 'shake and bake' kit. It just falls together as you take the parts off the sprues - and at about two feet long when finished, it also looks quite impressive on the shelf.

It's nowhere near as impressive as the Dora I've got in the same scale, which is HUGE (about six feet long), but the Dora was not so nice to build.

I have to say my favorite kit is tamiyas 1:35 scale 8ton semi track in all of its guises and variations this thing was a real work horse, it was used as a platform for a heavy crane to having flak guns mounted on it to being used to pull the mighty 88mm.
