It's snowing and the gritters have just gone past my garden lol. There is a decent covering of snow on the mountain in front of my house already. Gonna be a long winter me thinks

what is this 'winter' thing I keep hearing about and could someone tell what this 'snow 'thing is as well:laughing::vacat:still mid 80's and toasty headed beach side to catch some tasty waves this weekend

You may laugh Trey but i like winter. Makes it easier to go skiing and also you don't get skin cancer from all that sun lol

I always know when the first day of winter has arrived, the boss has started a new job, the diggers can't get access so the footings all have to be done by hand, bring on the wind, rain and hail just to help things along:sadcry:

No skin cancer but going to work on my bike is chuffing freezing. Trying to watch where I'm going, with one hand on the radiator to keep some blood in my fingers isn't good!

Freezing pfft. You lot down there are still in positive tempretures lol. Was minus 2 here this morning when i went to work and expecting it to get colder. Oh the joys of Scotland

If it wasn't for the bloody frogs kicking off, and their lightning strikes, me and Mrs. R would be going south 'till the butter melts for £20 each return, courtesy of Mr. O'Leary....

Hey ho, life can be so tiresome at times!! lol

Seriously though, if any of you are lucky enough to be flying out over French air space whilst this kerfuffle is going on be sure to check with the airline re. cancellations / strikes. We shoulld have gone last week on a cheapo but didn't. The outward flight was fine but we heard there could be a strike on our return date and we would be stranded...There was, but we weren't!

So be warned folks.

Ron

P.S. Wot's with the little laughing guy on my post? I never ordered 'im!

I miss the winters of home lots of proper snow, hot chocolate with marshmallows after a snowball fight makes me kinda home sick.

Here in Northern Germany it's now gone decidedly cold and getting us ready for another serious Winter. However I still cycle to work on my pushbike and laugh at all the cissies trying to scrape half an inch of frost from thier windscreens.

Not so much these days mate i struggle to see 1/72 right in front of me besides my hands shake that much now, but there was a time..... now look what you've done Ron iam all teary now....lol

Aaah! don't we love a chat about the weather. I've been in Bristol today and it's absolutely beautiful, not a cloud in the sky and quite pleasant in the sun. I wandered down to take a look at the S.S.Great Britain, what an amazing ship. I never knew they'd dragged her all the way back from the Falklands. No re-enactors but a school trip of excited nippers in period costume (sort of,did they wear tea towels in the mid nineteenth century?) all added to the fun.

Cheers

Steve
