Good for him, to be honest I am proud of him myself. He looked around him and decided that the life he had seen and was in was not good and he did something about it. Good luck to him as a Marine and may he mature into a wonderful man with many years of happiness and maybe a family of his own one day.
Thank you for sharing this story, wish maybe more young people would see that it takes a lot of hard work, not just physically but mentally to make things happen...for many it far easier to take the path of least resistance, even if that means drugs, criminality, prison or even a young death.
