Glad you approve chaps - many thanks. On to the torso tomorrow.

Just been watching a Polish film from 1967 called 'Westerplatte' on Netfix, about the defence of the harbour mouth at Gdansk during the opening days of WW2. Gritty and not too cliche-ridden. Worth a look:

Nice of Richard to send those at such a perfect moment , perhaps we should call him Mistic Rich in future :smiling2:.
Nice young fresh face Peter looking good.

Cheers John - I have a careful moisturising regime and treat my body as a temple.

Oh, you mean the bust? Sorry!

Morning Peter

Lovely work and a very youthful face, so smooth, no lines at all!

The bust looks good too, LOL!

There's a flock of magpies feeding in the beech tree opposite, as I look out of the lounge window.

Time to top up the bird feeders.

The BBC series World on Fire started with a cameo based on the defence of the Danzig Post Office, and is getting better with each week.

It should be a fun day with the paints and a bright one before the rain clouds and mist arrive.

Regards

Steve - Morning. Hope the magpies didn't wake you up. We had a pair nesting this summer over the road - noisy neighbours!

The defence of the Danzig Post Office is brilliantly depicted in Gunter Grass's novel 'The Tin Drum', which first stirred my interest in the subject. The film of the book is superb:

Looking awesome, i have this bust in the grey army in the shed, which i think is where he can now stay ! :smiling2: :smiling2: :smiling2:

Very nice paintwork Peter. Astonishing. I guess painting high quality models makes the work effort much more fun I reckon? ^^

Cheers

In the spirit of Steve McQueen and James Garner taking their first sip of moonshine in the Great Escape - WOW!

Hi Peter,
to echo Steve- WOW!
and anything but rough.
I must watch the Tin Drum again-haven't seen it since it came out 1980 or whenever....all I remember of it now is the opening shot with the horse head......

Peter. Looks like another Masterpiece a job well done the details you brought out on the wrinkled clothing is phenomenal
