INTERESTING FACTS: The first armoured vehicle / armoured personnel carrier made in China "with its own forces". Except that everything is practically a complete copy of Soviet elements (except for the armoured body), and the engine is ultimately Deutz - licensed produced in China. Communist Albania had a good number of these vehicles in its arsenal, and the successor attached a few to the police forces in the 1990s; and these vehicles participated in the pacification of riots in the 1990s. The weld on the top of the rear door, and the same on the vehicle body above the rear door serves to tie it down. Namely, it used to happen that the door opened while driving and that the soldier sitting "on it", i.e. on the seat mounted on it, fell out.
THE MODEL PRESENTED HERE: It is a captured vehicle, relatively well preserved from the point of view of us modelers. I haven't found which unit he belonged to, it's usually impossible to find out with Iraqis, and I don't want to, especially because if someone does know something, I'd either trigger his PTSD or potentially come into contact with the members of the .... .
"Bronco models" offers a decal with blue "rectangles" in a white circle (in some pictures from the net there are indeed lighter blue pixels, but this is probably a mistake due to image transformations); however, by all accounts, it is an anthracite colour or some blue bordering on black (the AI analized the images, says that it is an extremely dark blue color - again, one thing at a time, but unimportant to our eyes). I used A.MIG. - 0227 "Sea Blue".The "black" - i.e. dark green plants on the diorama / vignette are Seidlitzia rosmarinus, and the sand is clumped, as from the pictures and videos I studied, namely, in January 1991 there was a lot of rain that clumps the fine desert sand, turns the "rosemary" into an almost black plant, and the vehicles, if they are not moving, are washed away from the dirt. The model is still under construction, it needs a wash, dirt, a little toning, and install the side periscopes and a few smaller details.
