Great replies guys
Why don't you see a skeleton zombie ?
Alan I watched an episode of the walking dead once and it had some skeleton zombies/ dead in it, they just twitched a little. I suppose that due to the lack of muscle and tendons the bones just can't do anything.

PS they had been burned the zombie/ bodies

I must have missed an episode Ian can you tell me the episode or the series so I can check it out

You are right though :)

I'm not sure Alan my son was watching it, but it was the latest series I'd seen parts of two the last one was when the house/tower fell onto the wall and the one before was the one where one of the main blokes was with a man and two women in a wood/ forest and I can remember a bag with some insulin in it that was the one with the skeletons in.

I hope that helps you

I watched all the series of TWD to date but not the latest series yet so no spoilers please.!!!

I agree though if there are no tendons or muscles then that ( body) could not lift itself...... Which then begs that you need blood pumping through that part of the body, which in turn begs another question when the body is dead the blood coagulates in the body so cannot be pumped to the organs and muscles so how do the zombies actually move ( no help here from Ray Harryhausen or Stan Winston ) and defo no CGI

Maybe zombies do not feed at all, it is like rabies a instinct to attack anything that excites them regarding the scent of alive flesh. They rip to pieces with flesh hanging from the mouths and clawed hands...sounds like us eating our Xmas dinner:D

In this case I think the zombie virus will only effect the recent dead, after 2 hours the body will not be viable as a host for reanimation. That is why zombies are dim witted and mostly slow, nerve and brain damage with just the basic brain functions driving hunger and survival. Any longer and the body is too far gone.

Once you have a few people that are infected the bite or scratch etc will infect the living turning them.

Of course, zombies are around now, just watch the Jeremy Kyle show for evidence.
