Thanks Colin ............. Comments much appreciated.

Thanks Phil........... So far it looks good. The detail and fit is spot on. As I'm not far into it it's a bit early to judge.......... I'll keep you all posted.

I'll watch this thread. I've build their ProfiPack, but ver R and must say that was one of the best kits I've ever build. No troubles whatsoever and I'm planning to buy another one, making in Cuban markings.

I have the Cockpit sides done ........ I'm getting the hang of the PE a bit (positive mental attitude)......... and I've dry fitted them into the fuselage halves and ....... I'm surprised the are a near perfect fit .......... The sub assembly for the retracted wheel wells is finished and ready to fit ............ I have the bulkheads in one of the fuselage halves.......... Some primer, slap some paint around on the inside and I can button it up.

The "Things have gone Pear Shaped seat" is done........putting it together was a little tricky as the destructions aren't too clear on a couple of things ........ Painted in Grey acrylic and a bit of dry brushing in Mitiltary Green ...... Once that's dry I think we can start fitting things into the fuselage half.

........and I've started on the Pilot.

Great work so far Peter. Looks like you got the hang of that PE work, very nicely done.

The various assemblies are now in the fuselage half ............... I've dry fitted the two halves together and they are a good tight fit. The seams seem to align perfectly so I don't think we are going to be filling much if any......... Alve already painted the nose and applied the decal, two coats of matt. As that would be impossible to paint once the fuselage is together....... I have a card tube that'll slide over it to mask it when I prime and paint............ Now I know there is plenty of room for a nose weight I can do that then button it up.

Great looking work Peter. Good idea using a tube over the nose cone.

ooh, good idea on the cone - wait, I use a brush! Still, better to paint the cone and put the decal on before fitting... You can put the weight in the cone too by the looks of it.

That cockpit is looking excellent and after spending what seems like the last 6 weekends doing anything but models, it's football season kick-off and I am going to embed myself in the man-cave - my wife is going to need a large pry bar to get me out of it Grrr - well so long as she doesn't see this
