Cheers Jim.

To be fair I think I've just been spoiled by Meng & (newer) Tamiya kits that go together so well you just don't see these sort of issues. I guess in a way it does add some enjoyment having to overcome these problems, it just slows down the build process as I keep having to wait for things to dry.

      The nose is finally on.

      This kite is BIG!

The build has been going quite well the last few days, got the intake covers and mounting rails on, and a couple of bits on the nose (which I haven't a clue what they are).

I'd also got the tail planes out to fit, then decided to fit the rails first while I could still lay it on its back, so put them to one side. Then disaster struck in the form of a TET spillage. Yep you guessed it.......

I feel like a proper plonker, completely avoidable accident. I think I should be able to sand most of it out, then fill any divots and rescribe, but I'm still incredibly pissed off at myself.

I've put it to one side to fully dry overnight and will tackle the repair tomorrow.

Hi Bob, I've not built a plane yet that didn't put up a fight but you're making a great job of this one.

            Cheers Mick.

I'm still very new to building aircraft (and modelling in general really) so it's been a baptism of fire, but I'm glad for the learning experience.

Keep going sir. I am sure it will all fall into place soon. Great to see the progress so far. Good luck

                Cheers Steve.

Well the repair went quite well. I started with this.

                Sanded down.

                Sprue glue applied.

Sanded back and rescribe (not very well).

                And installed.

Cheers Pete, it wasn't as bad as I originally thought.

Hopefully I can get to painting now as that's all the major parts built.

Nice to see you got the washing in from the line and put it on the airer. The Missus has been nagging me for years to do that:smiling5:

My life wouldn't be worth living if I forgot Steve, especially as the missus has to work all weekend.
