I had a problem with the silver paint. Probably because it was acrylic and it was very cold in my garage. So I cleaned it all off with IPA. Now it’s been resprayed with Alclad gloss black. And I’ve painted the anti glare areas with Tamiya tyre black. Will mask them off and start on the silver.

Nice finish on that gloss black. I bet Alclad allu would come out nice over that.

The paint bloomed on two areas.probably because I was using acrylic paint in near freezing temperatures.Should have stuck to my usual Humbrol enamels

I’ve resprayed the model with Revell enamel aluminium. Finally a finish I’m happy with. The canopies are done as well.

I’ve started doing a few panels in different metallic colours.

Well I'm glad it's not just me. Sometimes the filling / sanding seems to go on for ever. Seems, I could have typed seams there, a bit more apt if incorrect.

Looking nice Dave, I still find the concept of two pilots in separate cockpits an unusual one.

I’ve done the flying control surfaces in a different shade. Going to do a few more panels then gloss it ready for decals.

It was the answer to single engined fighter pilot fatigue on the long flights to Japan and back.Although the war finished before it was ready.

Decals going on. Predictably they are as crap as the rest of the kit. They keep breaking up.But I’ve managed to piece them together and used stars n bars from my spares box.
