Me friend has just picked it up and he is delighted with it and he says its better up close than just looking at the pictures.

Me friend normally collects Die-cast models but just lately he is into the plastic stuff and he's not very good at

them so he asks me to build a few for him.

On the bench now or should i say my 'Tea-Tray' is a wartime wood Wellington[repair] and a 1/96th Avro Lancaster.

    Cheers.

    Ian.

You're created a great camo job on this bird. I'd be over-the-moon if I could achieve that

Nice lightning got 2 stories about them.

1, When lightnings were staitioned at lynam the top maintenance chief is aloud to take the engines for a test run with chocks in place,Anyway one day the ejector seat was removed for some reason so crew chief put his office chair in it's place, when he throttled up for some reason it just kept goin till it rolled over the chocks and took of. They scrambled another plane to talk him down.

2, My best mates dad was Flight sgt with lightnings survival kit specialist, they used to practice scrambles cold war an all, this one day they were outside there offices whe the scramble alarm went. he tells the story better but if you ever seen a squadron take off using every straight bit of road perry tracks, loads of broken windows and messed tarmac, grass and locals.

3, just remembered another quick one, He won a raffle for a trip in a T Bird {2 seats} along runway then virtical till 60,000ft got a loverly pic just comin out of clouds will try and get a copy but this was a long time ago.

          Sorry for woffaling
