Richard, that mate is a superb scene and very well thought out.

Just trying some first passes of colour on the base...no detail painting yet. Kicked up dust still tweaking...

Most people would have painted their figures before working on the base but I'm just weird.

Buried the snake and waiting for the plaster to cure. I will paint the snake in situ after detailing the disturbed sand...

I'm heading to the Ardennes to continue with the 25 figures.

Thank you Jim. The desert and it's features isn't as easy as it looks to work down to scale. Fingers crossed I am successful.

Scottie, from this angle it looks convincing but from the top I'm having issues. I have to spray the colours on before subtracting bits of the cotton to look right. Testing with hair spray to see if it stays still.

Thanks Richard, still twiddling the terrain and burying the snake.

    Hi All,
Just smoothened the surface and got rid of any bumps and sinks. Also did the kicked up sand with cotton...very delicate process by adding tony bits at a time. Hope it's convincing at this angle...

The little hole and pencil marks in the foreground is where the snake will be buried. Another delicate process. I dropped it and lost a horn so needs repair...luckily the fangs weren't affected.

Coming along nicely Richard, that snake must have been difficult being so small.

Thanks Richard, as far as I know like our new forum platform it has its own issues implementing the new online business which is part of Lucky Models. I seldom do online purchases so am not sure what's going on. Delays in delivery I suppose. If I hear anything I'll let you know.

    Cheers,
