The green, applied earlier has dried just nice in hardly any time, so after marking the camo. lines with a pencil, I've pushed on and brushed on the brown.
Having been close up and personal to a Lancaster, I prefer a soft, rather than hard line to the two colours.

i haven't been too fussy when applying the paint as most of the action will obviously be at night, so I can get away with murder.......Ee sez!

I've decided to leave painting the fuselage camouflage until I've joined the two halves of the model together. This will make lining up the brown straight forward.

    Cheers.

Good progress Ron. It will be interesting to see the night time lighting. Hope Mrs Ron has practiced her night time chucking. Don't want the kite landing in the drink 😀

          Thanks boys...

Lighting rigged up and two holes drilled into the fuselage belly.
Bit of a jumble, but the set up is only of a temporary nature because once I've taken pictures of the night time stuff, I need to take the aircraft apart.

The silicone blobs are the two LED spotlights. The tiny switch is hanging loose at the bottom. Once the lights are switched on, I will just tuck this up into the fuselage.

Now I can button it all up and add the wings etc.

          Cheers.

This is a really interesting build Ron. Knowing your photography skills I just know you will do it justice. Great work so far.

                Thanks boys!

I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes together too, 'cos at the minute I haven't got a clue!

Jim, I've insisted the wife wears night goggles throughout the day ( Kinky or what?), so at least she will be prepared for any chucking at a later time.

                Cheers all.

                    Thanks Tony.
                    Update.
I've joined the two halves of the fuselage together.

                    Prop. blades cut off too.

Please don't look closely at the ham fisted joints and the like. It'll be dark!

The very old decals were almost worse than useless, they all collapsed into 'Millions' of bits! I've stuck them on as best I can. Due to the theme of the build (Night time) I could probably have left them all off. But, bad though they all were, I thought it best to fix them on - Just in case some might be seen through the murk.....

Thankfully, after joining the fuselage together, the lights still work.

Next up will be the canopies. this will complete the aircraft. Then I can have me a thunk about the bases and various surroundings.....Big Sweat!

                    Cheers.

                        Thanks Graeme.
You can sit in the front gunners seat, if you want.

Guess what? I'm looking forward to seeing how it works too, 'cos as I've rit earlier, I have only a sketchy idea if, or how I can do it.......period!
