Great job Peter! Don't fall into the comparison trap - comparison eats contentment for breakfast! You've done a fantastic job on him and hopefully enjoyed doing it in the meantime. Let that be it! I have Mike Butler's work on my shelves and I will never get my figures to look like his. We each have our own style and should celebrate who we are. What you do brings pleasure to lots of us who watch you. Just aim to enjoy doing it!

Many thanks chaps. Glad you like him.

Andy - I know, I know, but to improve we need to look at what our betters are doing. The chap I've mentioned achieved a very subtle finish with his version on this figure, and that's something I need to work on.

Be inspired, but make sure that you never forget to enjoy yourself! This is a hobby not our career. Never loose sight that you have a great talent. You’re not the best in the world, but so what!! We enjoy watching you do what you do and my hope is that you enjoy it too. Have FUN and please continue bringing pleasure to us who watch!

                  Morning Peter

                  Another super figure, well done.

He must be in the cabinet by now?

And on to your next victim.

Looks like you have got into figures strongly and better for your time management too.

Have a good day with the warmer weather

                  regards

                  Steve H

Just got in and missed the finish. Have taken a look and there is a difference this time around. I noticed some weathering with dirt carried up the base of the great coat which is nice and so not you Peter. The shades are nicely done. Looks really good. :thumb2:

What's happened to your avatar and membership? A glitch I suppose.

                    Cheers,
                    Richard

                      Hi Richard,
No it's not a glitch. Peter left after a discussion about unclear 'Thread titles', it seems that topic has now been deleted from the forum, it's all very dark and sad.

I really loved Peter's work, will miss him :disappointed:

Why? His titles are pretty clear.

                        Cheers,
                        Richard

I don't want to kick the whole thing off again Richard, but it wasn't about his titles in particular.

He'll be missed. While I never commented much on his posts I always enjoyed seeing his work.

He took exception to a particularly immoderate piece of moderation. This was aimed particularly at the ex military modelling forum members that joined the forum about three years ago. Peter obviously took it as a personal attack and left the forum as a result Richard.

A real shame. I enjoyed his work and he was always supportive of mine. I posted a light hearted, jokey comment on the thread in question just before it was deleted, hoping to lighten the tone. The thread was getting unpleasant and so it was right to delete it. This forum doesn't need any nastiness, especially as we're all stressed, worried and even a bit frightened of this b****y virus. I hope he reconsiders.
Lets stick to modelling, friendly banter and mutual support. That way we'll come out the other end.
