    I'm afraid it is a bit of a sign of the times Alan as more and more businesses rely on automated systems to perform thier routine tasks for them. On the one hand you can argue that you are not getting the service you deserve but on the other you can enjoy the savings that the cheaper products bring. John is very much a one off when it comes to running a business and while it shows that it can be done it does require a superhuman level of committment and dedication way beyond Mr Average.

    I totally agree with Laurie though as regards giving them the opportunity to put things right. If they value your custom they will respond but if they don't you will know to move on. I tend nowadays to think of Internet shopping a bit like driving a car, expect the worst and you may occassionally be pleasantly surprised!!

      I agree Richard the web has made the world a bit less in personable as you don't get to interact anymore with the seller it's just so sterile now.

          Unless you deal with John, one of the best online shopping experiences I have had-tis a shame not all are like it.
