It's all about the choices we make. I gave up a life at sea some years ago - the never actually knowing if I would be home for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries etc was one of the small reasons why I gave up. However I do feel for you, I still remember that "Christmas at work" feeling well - I just don't miss it. But anyway Richard, you can have Christmas when ever you want it. I had one in February, complete with tree and everything. -

When I am at home my job is the trifle. I usually go for a chocolate and orange one, with about half a bottle of Cointreau in it!!Originally posted by \Omg trifle, not had trifle since we came to Canada.

We both decided to simply give it a miss this year. Neither myself nor my wife even bothered with any sort of decorations as it just doesn't seem to be worth it. Next year though I am due home so we can look forward to that one.Originally posted by \It's all about the choices we make.
