OK chaps, so some acquisitions from the past couple of weeks...

        ACW as usual.

        Andrew

This He-111 was a second hand eBay purchase.
Seller made clear that the paints and reward points were missing but I'm not fussed and besides it was 20%-30% cheaper than new and close to the best second prices @ only £19. And of course I had to get a mask set too.

Picked this next lot up a show last weekend (pics to follow)

After knocking over a bottle of TET for the second time recently (fortunately I didn't lose too much), I decided to get a holder from a company I have used in the past for various bits and pieces.

And next up this.....the club organising the show had a stall selling off member's kits and this caught my eye for only £10. RRP was about £12 at time of release but it's long out of production and so goes for at least that now and often MUCH more.

Finally, a true bargain. Charity tombola at the show.......£2 for 5 tickets and this was my prize!

Nice timing......... The 4wd GB is next month

Been a very long time since i did it but i think theres a known glitch....... Very very very tight fit when the shell goes on the chassis..... Think the twin turbos get in the way..... Might be wrong cos it must be at least 15 years since i did it

Not a very exciting purchase but much needed. Replacement head band liners for my Optivisor.
The padded, leather band at the front of the plastic headband gets perished and a bit sticky after time and becomes uncomfortable. Probably sweat on the forehead from the stress of trying to cope with tiny parts
              Found some replacements on line.

OK chaps...so yet more essential purchases.....

Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!

                ------------------------------------------------------------------

So this replaces a Stuka kit I sold to a friend who was after the Spanish Civil War marking version I had.....so at least this was a stash-neutral purchase....

Very pleased with this purchase...the same friend who had my Stuka acquired this kit recently and I realised that all of my 1/48 Mustang's were Ds......not a single B/C or version....outrageous or what!?!?!?? and so I obviously had to rectify the gap in my stash!!!

I was 'watching' it on eBay and after a couple of days the seller knocked 5% of an already very good price, so new this was 20-25% cheaper than most new prices and only marginally more than the same as the cheapest used sale on eBay!

And finally this another new Tank Museum book.

Like the recent Comet book, initial impressions are very good. Over 200 pages of high quality print and lots of pictures. As well as covering the usual things, it has sections on the innumerable specialist versions, restoring one and even what's involved in owning one....and as a pre-order backer from February I got my name in it and 1/3 off the retail price.

My original one got lost in the post in June and somehow (!?!?!?) I had forgotten about it being dispatched, only remembering last week. To their credit, the Museum sent a replacement one out right away and refunded the postage too.

I think this is 3rd or 4th Tank Museum publication I have backed....

Needed some new scissors for Decals and general stuff so I went for these
Sharp with the added bonus of being non stick, tape adhesive residue is a right nuisance.
Hoping these will mean no more cleaning the blades off with solvent.

adt70hk First impressions are excellent, cut cleanly with no burrs.
Tested them on different tape including some sticky selotape and the blades stayed clean.
Seem like good value to me for a penny under 14 quid on Amazon

Despite already owning a couple of other scribers, I succumbed to yet another one!
With basic pointy tip and two scalpel type tips, different sizes....
