First up is a nice AFV Scorpion tank, been after one of these for a while, in my Yoof I had many Action Men and also had lots of accessories, including a large Scorpion Tank, and have always wanted to build a nice model of one, this one includes a metal gun barrel and a few bits of photo etch to add a bit of details, and various decal / paint schemes....so here it is....

Second up was a Lanc, I built one as a nipper and butchered it, but it hung proudly from my ceiling anyway for many years. But now I'm back into it "proper" so to speak, I want to build another one and try to do it justice, so I juts went for a bog standard Airfix 1:72 Dambusters one.

OK chaps, so completely essential purchases that have arrived in the last few weeks!

      Hope you enjoy!!

      -------------------------------

So as I'm working on a US Corsair, I thought it would be rude not to get a Brit one, after all we took about 1/6 of all produced!!!

Ours had slightly clipped wings to fit in the hangers. As far as I know the Revell kit is the only Brit version out there at this scale. Thanks to some odd eBay discounts at checkout and on postage, I picked it up for less than £10

Thanks to special offer with a national chain of hobby stores, managed to pick this pair up for about 25% off the 'usual' new price. Not a modern jet man but have to love a Harrier, especially given their achievements in the Falkdlands. Been looking at the 88 kit for while and whilst it's an old kit, it has a lot of plastic in there and I was surprised how heavy the box was.

This took my fancy when it popped up on eBay and for a very good price too....at least 10% cheaper than the next best and 25% cheaper than most others.

Have often wondered getting clamps and these popped up on a well known Chinese site. Very impressed at first look...metal bar so no bending and not a ratchet type system (not sure what it is though) and so can make very small adjustments with the hand 'trigger' (fractions of mm)....and all 5 cost less than £8.

This also popped up on the same site for about 2/3 of the normal UK price. Reviews are very good, as are my first impressions. Metal barrel, 3d printed parts and they've even come up with a sensible approach in terms of the modeller not having to worry about lots of individual road wheels, as you'll hopefully see.

I think this was the cheapest one so I qualified for the 20% discount for buying two.

Provided it's a Tamiya kit, anything goes!

If you've read my latest post on the DH88 Comet, you will understand.
As I do mostly 1-32 scale figures this should last me a decade!
