The amount of money they earn is pitiful compared to their hours and responsibility.
There used when I was young Doctors Nurses Surgeons Firefighters Police who were in that category but now.

Given a franchise use it it is the cheapest gift given to the people of Britain. Many countries do not have it or know how to use it.

So.......... Power crazed, egotistical, how much can I make from my memoirs (and my wife's if you have the surname Blair or Clinton) and only interested in knocking on my door while I'm having dinner when they want my vote.... How many times, in the last five years has my MP just called by to say "Hi, how are you doing thanks for voting for me...... None of that comes into it .............

Let's not get too emotional and sympathetic about how hard done by they are ............. They get, 3 times or more in salary than the average person, over generous expenses which they abuse and then come up with ridiculous nonsense to try to justify it when they get caught at it instead of "Manning Up" to it, get to buy houses on the tax payers tab,.......When they either resign in disgrace or finish up they get a Golden Handshake, a Pension and a peerage ....... As well as all that they have other jobs (look up on google Rifkind & Straw) which they are doing instead of representing their constituents, who pay their wages.............. and if they are really lucky (and have the surname Blair) you can become "Peace Envoy" for the middle East ????? Where did that one come from .......???? Peace Envoy ???? ........ He sent the Army in to two middle East Countries????

Oh........ and I forgot to mention that their mates on that independent???? committee voted them a 9% pay rise? When everyone else in the country got bugger all.

So let's not be worrying ourselves if they are not going to be able to afford dinner in one of the subsidised (by us tax payers) restaurants in the Houses of Parliament, while they cut a deal to carve up the NHS and Armed Forces budget) tonight or not ..............Because they have such a bad life.

I actually want to vote, I really do but you show me a party in this day and age that is worth my vote. Now I see the logic that if you don't vote then someone gets in that not many people want so I think a big change is needed we need new political parties and politicians that are not tory, labour and u kip. Face it its the same choices every few years so until a political party materialises that actually want to help the people of this country I will hold my vote for them.

Well I did my bit and I must say it was true to form in the fact that they just bickered like kids from the main parties

Sturgeon was doing a very good act of trying to sell herself to the british people but we all know she hates the union so we won't buy the rhetoric

The Welsh one sorry I forgot her name just prattled on about how bad it was in Wales

Bennett was out of her depth trying to say political correctness was the best way to be and she did well not sounding like Adolfo hitler

Farrage was his charming self giving them all a good hiding and taking abuse from the real fascists quite well

Over all though I have to say that this American debate thing is not for us Brits we should dump it

In the early 1970s the American magazine 'Rolling Stone' printed a definition of politics

Debates? you mean more like conservative candidate goes to liberal media outlet, gets trashed for half hour, leaves with tail between legs ops: then says what a success it was!
