I see quite a few apaches fly over ours but can never get photos of them in time or their too far away

Looks like you didn't have that problem, great pictures

Just watched two Typhoons dog fighting directly over Hull for at least 10 minutes.

Diving, climbing, tail chasing, rolling over/under each other After Burners on/off at about I would guess 5-7000 feet.

People out on the street, grandson screaming his head off, dog under the bed

        .

I wouldn't like to be in their shoes though, as at one point one of them rolled out with the other on his tail, and must have come down to at least 2000 feet or less before turning on his burners and shooting straight up.

I hadn't realised how agile these aircraft are.

Light not good enough to film unfortunately.

        Finally headed off north west.

Personally I enjoyed it and tried to explain to neighbours, this is the sound of our freedom.

Bet there are a few complaints tomorrow though.

Typical of the media, just posted on the 'Hull Daily Mail' web site.

"RAF Top Guns Roar Over Hull After Russian Bear Hunt"

And some people actually believe all they see in the papers.

At least one person in that article enjoyed the impromptu display Gregg. Who wouldn't? And I doubt very much it would be the same Typhoons that intercepted the Russian patrol aircraft.

Very entertaining, just a shame so many seemed so scared over it.

Seeing as the interception took place this morning, hardly likely!

One comment on the 'Mail' site was from the mother of a child who ran and got under the bed, as she thought aliens were coming.

The press hardly help with sensational headlines!

I must buy the daily rag tomorrow to see what else they have fabricated!

This story has been confirmed by the BBC

Two Chinook Helicopters ......... Very low and very noisy. Probably on their way to Aldershot Garrison judging by the direction.

They follow the M3 motorway, they fly past my house in Cove sometimes in pairs but usually as singles.

It's a poor photo but a four ship of Chinooks flew back to Odiham over my house, I think they were doing the fly past for the ANZAC day commemoration.

That'd explain it. I live in Southwood. A stones throw and a bit from the M3
