I've seen your builds on this site many times and I'd have you build me a model any day of the week. It takes a special kind of modeler with great confidence in their skills to do commission work. Don't let this chump turn you off to commission work, then he wins and the modeling community loses.

That is so kind to say Ray, appreciate it very much. This isn't about the work really, I had a small doubt at first-just annoyed that he used it as an excuse for non-payment.

Just managed to get on the internet from rather rural lower Normandy where I am doing two weeks house sitting for my brother.


I think the sub looks rather good, excellent rust staining. There are lots of idiots out there, what I do now if anyone wants me to make something is sit them down in front of the computer and organise the kit and paints and order them online with them paying. This way I'm not out of pocket money wise, and I get the enjoyment of building a model with just the expenditure of my time which now I'm retired I allegedly have plenty of.


Just to put in perpective the amount of idiots out there I recently bought a new fridge freezer as the previous one was a bit small, rather than throw it away or pay to have it taken away, I advertised it on Freecycle with measurements and photo saying whoever wanted it had to collect it and take it away. I had lots of replies, all except one asked me to deliver it and the one idiot who turned up to collect it came in a Smart Car and was surprised that it wouldn't fit.
