I agree if someone poses a question then yes, a picture is by far and away the best response.
I was just wondering if an unsolicited picture of a similar model just turning up willy nilly on that person's thread - be it the actual build or completed - is, in the opinion of my mates on here, O.K.?

I've done it recently to show Monica the finished article, and only because I don't know how to post a link.

It's all to do with the context and whether the insertion is supportive or is obviously hijacking. Usually the intent is obvious.
As always it depends on the individual situation and there can be no right or wrong answer to such a generic question.Comment

I have to say that people here are generally supportive and eager to help. I can't think of an instance when someone has hijacked a thread to show their model. Why would they? They can start their own thread to show their model just as easily.

I don't see any problem with that . Providing it's informative and to show / help whoever has started the thread.Comment

As all have said, it depends the context, certainly....
Anyway, if I remember well, I posted some pictures (on other's thread) during my first or second year here....but I prefer don't do it.
And my intention is still continuing on the same way....
You can help or you can be helped, but your thread is like your workbench, is like your personal space....
Of course, you posted it to share with your friends here!
But so much confidence can blur the "established limits"...?Comment

Could not careless. If somebody is kind enough to think it worth posting on one of my "in builds". Jolly thankful for the interest.
Anything which helps is helpful. Wow I am good at logic.o_O

It remember me an urban mythology...
An exam, on the Universaty.
The teacher asked "-Why...yes?". "-Give me your reasons!".
Two minutes later a student left the exam on the teacher's table....
He wrote "-And why not...?"
The teacher gives at the exam the best noteComment
