Hi Steve, Not much progress on this I'm afraid. My daughter popped round to see me yesterday and we had a go at your translating together. We made a great team - she did the translating and I made the tea!

Although she found meanings for the words, she could not understand enough of the technical side of the article to give a sensible translation. She did find the following website which has some information which may help. It mentions a power loss caused by the difference in fuel grade and gives lots more references to other articles.

        Google Translate

        Hope this helps.

Hopefully might have an answer for you on Monday! An old friend who works at Birmingham University is going to speak to one of the native Germans working there to get you an answer. My old friend is a tech geek and with his translation he figured it was to do with the right/wrong fuel, but to get an accurate translation he will ask his colleague, so with a bit of luck we may get an answer! Fingers crossed.

At this very moment a sweet little German Engine builder woman is slaving away at the keyboard. Hopefully her boyfriend will leave her alone long enough to get it sorted over the weekend!

Hi Steve, Got your message and will await the pdf when your next on-site to send.

Whilst I await I also posted on a German website to see if I would get any response.

Here is a start from someone

Jürgen wrote "< (It seems as if you are talking about a plane or something, cause they are speaking of flying). I hope that this will help cuz english techinal texts are hard to write. but if u have further questions, then ask me "

              Regards

              Rich

Here is what the native German could make of the document, hope it helps?

The document is mostly about the MV booster fuel (methanol/water) that can be used to provide short term boost. It cuts in automatically if you move the throttle beyond a "stop". If you are running on the C3 fuel the MV boost is safe (so long as you keep within set limits). If running on the lesser B4 fuel it's not recommended. This is because if you are running on B4+MV (i.e. with the throttle beyond the stop) and you run out of MV then you''ll wreck your engine. In one place in the document it says you must trottle back but in another is says the damage will be immediate.

As for the document Steve, is it original or re typed?

                  Rich
