    My Mate Marmite

Has anyone seen the October issue of model military international? it's got a great use for Marmite, I've not tried it yet because there is no one in the house that likes it, but next time I'm at the supermarket I'm going to grab a jar, I can't post the whole article because of copyright but I'm sure they won't have a problem with a picture, here's the sort of thing you can do with it

Grab the mag it's well worth a read

That looks amazing - I'm not sure how it would age though - I'm sure it'd soon growing a nice little colony of something on the more marmitey parts.

Makes a nice change from the normal application on a piece of toast though!

Ok.. for us uninformed Yanks.... What in the name of all that is holy is Marmite? I could look it up, but I would rather hear what you all got to say about it...

Too much for me. Give me nicely distilled whisky every time

From what I gather, the rust colored oils may even taste better.

Well shiver my timbers,I thought that I had heard it all ? who would have thought of Marmite as a rusty finish maker,we do not have any in the cupboard otherwise I would give it a try on a test paint hack model.

                      Excellent idea.

Bob Let me tell you that even radio active sludge tastes better than marmite (It is the devils own excretia)

It is the only advertisement which shows somebody saying 'Yuck' to a food product ! you either love it or hate the stuff, you are missing nothing in the States with this stuff.

Tastes a bit like axle grease that has turned rancid.

ROFL... now that is a visual I won't soon forget. It has officially made it to the list of things never to try. And that list is very short. I am just surprised I have not heard of it before.
