It is the only advertisement which shows somebody saying 'Yuck' to a food product ! you either love it or hate the stuff, you are missing nothing in the States with this stuff.Tastes a bit like axle grease that has turned rancid.
Yet another great visual. You guys have my wife laughing pretty good at some of the descriptions. I have a very good friend who does a lot of work with his sister company outside of London. Next time he flies over, I might have him pick me up some. Heck, I might even muster up the guts to try a little. Worst case if I don't like it, I have another use for it!!!!

So Barry when was the last time you tasted rancid axle grease?!!!

Well seeing as no-one is going to promote the alternative opinion of Marmite I guess I had better say that I think the stuff is the best thing on sliced bread, preferably toasted! And if Annette isn't looking I'll lick the knife as well.

I think the stuff is wonderfull and you are all a shower of pansies!!!

Using it for weathering is perfect, you get to paint it on and suck on the brush while you are thinking about the next step!!

Ok.. from reading on, my wife actually has heard of it. She is more travelled and learned than I. She explained that you all use it like we use peanut butter in the states. Is that accurate?

We spread it on bread or toast but that is about as similar as it gets.

Obviously a more travelled and learned person such as your wife would appreciate the finer points of such a comodity as Marmite!

it's pretty good as a savoury type additive in gravy's ...stews...pies...etc...

but i wouldn't wanna eat it RAW.......after eating marmite on toast..even garlic tastes like the stuff...

Each for his or her own, amazing how everyday products get used in model making, just look at how the sales of Johnsons Kleer/Future escalated when modellers got hold of it ? when I approached the company they had put the rising sales down to people liking shiny floors ! so that is what it is really for ? what would we do without these products that no model shop would ever think of selling.

You scare me with how eager you sound!!! I have heard of vegiemite, but that is only from an 80's song... lol... And the part of your post that really scares me is that they have a squeezy bottle?!?!?!?!

On the same sort of subject as what alan2525 mentioned - my mate used icing sugar to recreat snow in a Hoth scene with an Imperiat AT-AT from The Empire Strikes Back....after a few months he ended up with a gooey mess, a purple-aired clean up job and a repaint!!!! Not a good idea using foodstuff unless it's the "last-forever" type!!!
