I do my modelling in a summerhouse in the garden and it's the only time I can really listen to music. I take something from my cd shelf with me to play. mostly Blues or 60's R & B ( Stones, Animals etc.). Also fond of JJ Cale and Kris Kristofferson.

I don't listen to a lot but when I do it's, Tallis Scholars, Jethro Tull, and Lara Fabian. Many of you probably don't know Lara Fabian a quebec based Belgian Italian. Do yourselves a favour and check out her Adagio on YouTube.

i used to listen to Radio 2 but its changed so much recently
only thing thats worth listening to is Ken Bruce......and thats for the quiz!
they rejigged evenings and the folk and blues shows are now on much later
final straw was getting rid of steve wright in favour of the awful scott mills
but ive just discovered a station called Greatest Hits which seems to be populated by lots of ex Radio 2 djs so all is good....cept for the adverts lol.....i want to listen to music not adverts

Wow. I just saw this revived thread and think it's great!!! I used to listen to music at the table while building. I'm kinda old and classic rock from the 60's on up are my favorites. The problem was, I like to sing along and that didn't go too well. Dogs started barking, Neighbors complaining, but when the Polizei showed up at the door, thinking someone was being murdered, I had to stop.......

Sometimes, I have the telly on when I work. You don't have to watch the drivel as it's just background noise. If I am doing basic building, I may play a whole album or two. For detail work, I don't, as the urge to sing again is too overwhelming...The gamut runs from April Wine to Frank Zappa. Favs are Jethro Tull, The Who, ELP, Traffic, Led Zep, The James Gang and so on.

A true story.......In a military school, back in the 80's, another soldier asked me what I was listening to on my Walkman. I said, Def Leppard and he looked at me with a very strange face and asked, why would you listen to a cat that can't hear? I had to leave the room immediately...........

              Prost

The original "High 'n Dry" album, not the re-release a bit later where they had remixed it and took the edge off!!! "Pyromania" is also a killer album...
