my hearfelt condolences is extended to you and yours at this very trying time. Please be rest assured that our modelling community recognises the loss of your father and the passing of a magnificent modeller. Who although few will have met in person all acknowledge the special man that he was. A sad day indeed. Treasure your memories and be strong for those around you, you know that however distant we may be we all support you.
I am so sorry to hear of your father passing away. I discovered these forums from some of Nigel's posts. His skill and enthusiasm were appreciated. He will be sorely missed.
My thoughts go out to you and your family and wish you strength.
I can hardly believe that I feel shocked at Charlottes news as I have only known Nigel through this forum for a short time. My best wishes towards his family.
My prayers go out to you and your family. This has come as a complete shock to me as well.
Being fairly new here myself, did not know Your father real well, but did know him well enough to know to look at all of his postings whenever they came up, he was an inspiration to many of us here and although I am in the US, he was someone whom I would have loved to meet someday.
If there is anything you need, please dont hesitate to ask, I am sure that we all will do anything we can to help you during this time.
Even if its just someone to "chit chat" with, just let us know.
Again, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, God bless you,
Charlotte, I am absolutely shattered. Your father was posting only a couple of days ago and progressing his models.
If you don't mind me asking has he had an accident or is this as a result of ill health?
In the year and a half I have communicated with your father I have come to know him and respect him as a talented modeller, a kind and extreemly generous person and a warm and enthusiastic member of this forum. His drive and motivation has been a source of inspiration to us all and his postings have provided guidance, humour and expertise to us all.
I was so much looking forward to meeting him next week and getting to know him in person.
My deepest sympathies go to you and all your family in this particularly difficult time. Please know that our thoughts are with you and we will always be here for support, conversation and anything else that you may need.
Charlotte I have just noticed this thread and to say that I am in a state of shock is an understatement, your father was a true inspiration to us all with his drive and enthusiasm, although I never met him I spoke with him at some length on the phone a few times,it was very obvious that he was a most loving and gentle person who thought the world of you and the family, how cruel life can be and spring its surprises in this way ? please accept my heartfelt thoughts for you all at this difficult time, the forum will never be quite the same again without him.
