James, I have always fancied going to Mark-1-tanks but never gotten around to it.

These boys have some serious models, 1/8th, 1/6th, and I think 1/4th as well. they can pull the average family car with them. The tamiya 1/16th is tiny in comparison. It is really Disneyland for model tank people.

But would it be a move away from the forums average models, type and size? plus a tank fest might not apeel to the rest of the forum?

I wonder if I could swap the wheelchair for a 1/4th Tiger ? Now I like the sound of that.:grinball2:

    Mike.

      Richard,

reread my posting - I put two links to their website in there (including pictures from their last open day).

      Mike,

It is different from the planes and card models that many of the forum members make but it is the diversity of our hobby that gives us respect for each other.

I have always fancied going there too (did not realise it was so far South).

or there are orther model meccas we could visit, as discussed mark 1 tanks, but also places like pendon...and others.....

At Pendon we recapture scenes showing the beauty of the English countryside as it was in the Inter-War years. We do this through the medium of detailed, accurate and colourful models constructed to the most exacting standards.
