Sorry, but if this is considered public embarrassment, then I’m glad I’m not on social media. It was intended as a lighthearted comment on a small mistake in your signature, not as kindling for a flame war.

I love the skylights you fellows have.
Natural light is the best, my house has too few windows for my liking.
We fixed that when we built a new kitchen, but gawd is it expensive!

My work space is under development and "sorry not in service" yet. Tonight I fitted MDF back and side boards; next will be running and extension cord and cutting a hole for the extractor hose.

Ron don't let Jim R president the TIDY BENCH CLUB see this , I have had several attempts at gaining entry and have been refused. Looking at your I doubt you would get beyond the steps of the club.

Here is my cave, recently upgraded. Of course since then it has turned into an untidy mess. :tears-of-joy:

Well, the storage area certainly is neat, John.
Workbenches are where the work happens, so can't stay neat forever (unless no work gets done).
Besides, I've read somewhere that creative people are generally not tidy.

Monica, I think I may use your paint rack as a pattern, since I'm in need of more than the single old refinished spice rack I am currently using (found it when we moved in to our house-glad I never threw it out).
Re-purposed lumber is something I've been using for many years for a lot of projects.
The saved money can be used for more enjoyable things (like more kits, tools, etc.).

It's been that long since I sat at my desk it's got quite a lot of dust on it, I really need to get motivated to finish the spitfire

Well John, that's quite organised.....
here's mine, showing why I asked about paint storage......

Paint spray booth is to the left out of the picture, and most other items are either behind the chair or on more shelves above the desk....there is actually only about three feet six inches from the desk to the rear wall...
Cheers

Of course, I'll soon put a stop to this tidiness business.
