If you don't mind a small correction - you don't ever want one, keep telling yourself that.

And remember, you aren't really giving up smoking, as that makes it sound like you are denying yourself something. In fact you are freeing yourself from its grip, and moving forward to a better place :thumb2:

I was pretty much chain smoking and the price just kept going up and up to the point where I had not bought a model in the last few months because of the amount I was spending on the fags.I thought that this has to stop. One of my main aims is to treat myself to some fishing gear.
              Thanks for the support.

I remember when the smoking ban came in. I was gigging in a club, sitting at a table during our break, and suddenly realised I could see across the room......brought home to me how much second hand smoke I’d obviously breathed in over the years.....to quote Joni Mitchell, you don’t know what you’ve got ‘till it’s gone.....

How much have you saved toward that rod now?

What kind of rod are you after out of interest?

                            Nothing so far.
I used to buy my tobacco monthly so this Monday I would normally buy it.So instead of fags I will have £185 to spend.
The rod I am after is a light Spinning/lure rod so I can target perch on the canal.I have a couple in mind but have not decided which one for sure.
                            I will win.

£185 a month? - Well, that's nearly twice my grocery spend!! That brings it more into perspective for me now! I suppose, if you sit down, and work out the annual percentage of your net income, that is yet another incentive for ditching the weed - if you need one!
