Ralph,
OK you've gone 5 days, the important days are the 105th day, the 205th day and so on. Once the 'novelty' of not smoking has worn off, the real difficulty starts - maintaining that determination to never smoke again. It's a drug addiction, just as much as heroin, or crack cocaine. As so many people say, you can go for years, then suddenly get that craving, you have to hold your resolve
You Will Win

Excellent advice and will be heeded.Comment

Ralph, I've never smoked fags or 'wacky backy', although growing up in the '60's I was offered the latter often enough!
...so I can't offer any quitting advice. All I can do is wish you all the best in your efforts to lay off smoking.
You are getting excellent advise from the lads on here, so heed the wise words on offer, dig in and beat the beast. Which I'm sure you can - No question!..... :thumb2:Comment

Well day five is nearly over and I have absolutely no interest in having a fag I have not had one craving today.
I am fully prepared to cope with anything now.Comment

That's great news Ralph! Must be a relief to know the cravings are subsiding. I'm sure they will come and go at trigger points in the future, but if the main onslaught is over it'll make those times much easier to cope with.Comment
