        Ralph, I've never smoked fags or 'wacky backy', although growing up in the '60's I was offered the latter often enough!

        ...so I can't offer any quitting advice. All I can do is wish you all the best in your efforts to lay off smoking.

        You are getting excellent advise from the lads on here, so heed the wise words on offer, dig in and beat the beast. Which I'm sure you can - No question!..... :thumb2:

                I have never been able to shift the weight that I put on since quitting until now I have put myself on a scrit diet and in a week I lost 2.5 lbs and that's only the first week.

                          Well day five is nearly over and I have absolutely no interest in having a fag I have not had one craving today.
                          I am fully prepared to cope with anything now.

                              That's great news Ralph! Must be a relief to know the cravings are subsiding. I'm sure they will come and go at trigger points in the future, but if the main onslaught is over it'll make those times much easier to cope with.
