1/72 ZTS Plastyk MiG-19 'Farmer'. It was purchased just last February. I'm not averse to doing surgery on sprue joins but this was just over the top and consequently it was consigned to the bin. As a consolation, the stash had an instant reduction of 1.

I wish I'd never bought these kits .

I’ve been thinking about this a bit, and I don’t think I have any kits that I wish I hadn’t bought. I do have some that I’m (pretty much) certain I’ll never actually build because of the trouble involved in actually building them, but even then I don’t regret buying them. Stuff like the Tauro A7V:

Or the Skif BMP-3 and T-64:

 Good thread John

I bought a CMK 1/35th Bergepanzer Tiger cheap on E-bay, what a .......................... rubbish, especially as I have the Ryefield kit!
I must have had a serious "Its a Bargain" moment!
I'll eventually sell it on as a Vintage kit to a collector who wants to keep it and not build it, because it really is awful.
The others have all been moved on, ARK, 1970's Italeri and MasterBox Pz I's, and some of my early E-bay failures!

But I am sure I'll pick up some more rubbish in the future!

The nature of building a stash on E-bay LOL

I guess I have something in common with Jakko. While there may be a dog or six in my stash, there are LOADS of kits that just won't be built for reasons other than the fact they are bad kits. In amongst them are:

 1/32 Academy F-16 - all those decals!
 1/24 Cityliner coach - ditto
1/200 Schauffelradbagger - all those railings
1/35 D-9; Meng Auf1 howitzer; - all those track links
1/18 Hobbyboss Harrier; Merit Dauntless - where would I put them
1/350 Tamiya Enterprise - all those tie-downs and where would I put it
1/350 Bronco Ting Yuen & Chih Yuen - have you seen the insane detailing & PE?
 1/48 Revell B-1B - where would I put it

The list goes on ... and on ... and on ...Comment

Just 3 of them,The Aussie,(Who`d be about 9 foot tall if you built him up. The Berry Guy,(What a proboscis THAT is),and plain old "Squash Face".
A real treat from Italeri there then..... and it`s only dated 1981!!!!

It's not a bad kit at all Chris. Like you, I've seen one built and it's really impressive.

It's just that the deck has a couple of thousand tie-downs - which translates as little white dots - and even using something like a paint pen, that's going to take a serious time. Then there's about 40 aircraft included with the kit. They're nice little kits but that's 40 lots of fine detail painting and insanely small decals. Maybe if I'd got hold of it 30 years ago .....Comment

That’s only because so much better is available nowadays I remember being happy to buy this kit in the mid-80s because it meant I would finally have drivers to stick into some of the military truck models I had. I admit I was disappointed when I came home and opened the box, but not because of the quality of the figures but because so few of them were actually usable as drivers. Only the one on the left and the third from right are really in a pose that would let them drive a truck, the other two seated ones are passengers at best, and the standing figures just felt as a waste of good pocket money when you’re buying a set of truck drivers.Comment
