H&s airbrush trouble

Hi I went to use my airbrush today when I depressed the trigger no air came out stripped it down couldn't see anything put back together still nothing took the air valve off depressed the tip air came out put back together nothing stripped out the brass rod spring and seal and reinstalled still nothing put the air valve and trigger from my other h&s in still nothing this airbrush works fine so it's not a compressor air supply problem anybody had the same issues and how did you resolve it

I stripped mine down to components and then realized that part 2, the nozzle cover had some paint in it that I had missed.
A few minutes sitting in airbrush cleaner and a good wipe and all good again

I'm not sure yours is the same problem but a couple of times after stripping my infinity I haven't seated the trigger down quite far enough. It looks fine and still pullsthe needle back but doesn't quite reach far enough to operate the air valve.

Had me stumped the first time but now I'm aware, if it happens again I just pull the needle back out, snuggle the trigger back down a bit more, and crack on.

Like I said, might not be your problem but it might be worth looking at as it's caught me out a few times.

Paintguy yes I tried that even put the trigger from my other infinity in but that didn't work either

I would take it completely apart again, leave it to soak in thinner for 24 hours then remove each piece, wipe it thoroughly, run cleaning brushes through all holes and cavities and interdentals in the small hard to reach places. I would even, very carefully, fit the needle into the nozzle and move it back and forward a few times, gently. If you have a suitable reamer, try that as well but always be gentle and careful.

If you have a CR Plus with solvent resistant seals then I would suggest a lacquer thinner, Mr Tool Cleaner being ideal. If your seals are not solvent resistent then you need to usesomething less aggressive depending on what paints you use.

When re-assembling, make sure each part is tightened, carefully of course. Then before replacing the rear body over the needle check the needle action and spray some thinner. It might also be an idea to add some lubricant to the trigger area.

These problems are almost always a cleaning issue, it is not just a matter of a blocked nozzle you can also get the needle 'sticking' and not moving freely.

I had the reverse problem with my Iwata Eclipse the other day. The air was staying on even when I let go and stopped depressing the trigger. Obviously something sticking and not allowing the air valve to close. I too did exactly what he said and, hey presto! Good as new.

So what can we deduce from the above posts - blokes and cleaning, just not a good mix.
