I was working at the IWM when there was the fatal accident involving a P-38 in 1996 and the crashing of BF109G 'Black 6' on it's last flight in 1997. Lots of debate at the time about the airworthiness of vintage planes.Comment

Accidents always provoke the discussion. It boils down to whether you believe that they should be flown at all. One camp believes that they should all sit in museums and the other that they need to be seen in the air.
What can be said is that to be maintained in flying condition means that they will not allowed to deteriorate as examples in even the best museums inevitably do.Comment

Apparently from FB post one of the two crew is the husband of a friend.. All she has said there is AAIB Investigation.I've sent her a message so If I hear anything back I will post.
