I'm out...with four tender bullet holes and some precious stones to show for the tour of duty. Will go in again to the frontlines for a check up in a weeks time.
I'd like to thank the following rabble mob protesting outside the hospital grounds carrying placards with wishes of get well soon...Christopher & Jen, Peter Day, Jim, Murfie, JayCee, Tim, Pete, John R, Colin, Ian, John B, Ron, Peej, Scottie, Bob, Allen, Andrea, Jack, Andy Paint Guy, Paul66, Richard, Tony, Jim and Samson, David, David w, Andy Runner, Simon, Neil, Graeme, Andy Meister, Andrew B, Rick, Dave, Joe, Mick and Gregory...hope I didn't miss anyone for their kind wishes and painfully nice comments about speed, you know how slow I am at building but hope the body reacts differently. Being stoned. Lucky for me Brumhilda's weren't found in the south tower of the hospital and my visiting friends found excuses to nip out for a little cheeky conversation with the young nurses...later I found out where the Brumhilda's were when I was shifted to the north tower...only one but she was nice and motherly. I promptly got out of the windy gowns as soon as I got out of op and into my PJ's. Good thing the stockings weren't standard issue...you'll see my hairs sticking out through the mesh. Nightmare to see Allen in fishnets or Simon's hanging family jewels :tears-of-joy:
The pain leading up to the operation was equal to the pain right after surgery and glad it's over. The gallbladder was inflamed so an extraction tube from one of the incisions for blood/paint/thinner/surfacer/retarders and so forth to collect in this little container I carried when doing my rounds to the rest room. I have the stones and pictures of the op and the gallbladder if you guys have the stomach for it. :smiling2:
Our hospitals are fantastic...thought I was in ER or Greys Anatomy with Asian actors. So was the food with variety to choose from the menu but I had to start slow with porridge and that was tasty. I finally got my fish fillet with hollandaise sauce and baked potatoes, chicken chop, sweet & sour fish with rice...the appetite was back. It is also important to have insurance coverage and am lucky to have it.
Bench time will be soon as soon as I sought my routine for the next few weeks. The poor cats have missed me and need Dr Foenander to give them proper care and medication as the nurses weren't successful. Again thanks for the well wishes.
Cheers,
RichardComment

Glad to hear you're out OK. Yes, the gallstone pain is right up there w/pancreatitis. I've had both, but only once w/gallstones. Thought I was going to die. I was lucky & didn't have to have surgery as it passed or moved away from the duct. PaulEComment
