    Not a good weekend.................

This has been one of those weekends that I wish was in the past.
The last few days, I've been kept from the bench by a flare up of the arthritis in my wrist, and so far, the Ibuprofen Gel isn't working - those two WWI fighters keep on looking at me, but I can't give them the proper attention they deserve.
Just to make it an even better weekend - I heard this afternoon that my old boss has passed, the first coronavirus victim I knew personally, OK, he was in his late 70's but it's still a shock. Due to all the crap going on, it'll be a private family funeral service, so all the old friends who would attend can't pay their respects in person.
This Covid-19 is affecting me more than I expected, and I'm afraid it's going to get worse, now that winter approaches

It sucks not being able to pay respects, I lost a good friend near the start, and I'm sure his funeral would of numbered 100s in usual circumstances.
And the over the counter gel is pretty useless, I'm sure the change in weather is a nightmare.

            Sorry to hear this Dave.

Can sympathise completely, lost an Aunt and my best friends father-in-law since this all started and wasn’t able to help or attend.
I just try to keep them in my thoughts as often as possible.

Hope you get to the bench soon.

Hope you start to feel better soon Dave . A most painfully and debilitating problem .My right shoulder plays up from time to time.
Yes this coronavirus is terrible we have a friend who is going to be able to watch a funeral service relayed from the crematorium for family and friends who can't get in
              due to the restrictions.

                Hi Dave
I suffer from RA, and while the meds I’m on do control it to a greater extent, I do get the occasional flare up. This usually occurs when the weather is damp and cold, and the atmospheric pressure changes quickly. I find that taking ibuprofen and paracetamol tablets regularly help a lot to get me through them. The paracetamol helps with the inflammation as does the ibuprofen. I’ve found the gels to be a waste of space. Another thing that helps is a microwaveable wheat sack (Like a modern hot water bottle) so I can get heat to the affected area.

I love using these on my shoulders and back. Especially when they have a couple of lavender oil drops on it.
