I originally owned the original Tamiya special" The selected diorama works of Francois Verlinden",I had it aged 13 in 1982 and it was tattered by my constant thumbing.My modelling bible indeed.I have the Tamiya album, that I took that photo from. I also have a couple of the Verlinden Way books, but if this diorama appeared in an issue of those, then it’s not in the ones I own. But I recognise the figures next to the tank as the Flak crew in winter uniforms that Tamiya released.Comment

Yes thats the one Jakko.I.loved it in my teens.Maybe you could scan some pics from it for me sometime.I need to get back into modelling.and Mr.V still my.idol.

I remember '82 - would have preferred it to have been 'the Summer of '69' though! Mind you, at this age going back to age 13 and trying again would be fun!

Always used Tamiya cutters but often cut to close and damaged the part, especially Trumpeter plastic or miles away!
Very impressed, used today on the smaller parts of Tashkent and it cuts very close, no part took off, no stress on the part and almost no sanding and just a gentle squeeze to cut. Great packaging. Good investment!Comment
