Sure I paid vat before on stuff when we were still in the EU .
Thanks John, yes Jakko explained it better, the problem lies with the new import duty over here (for example the 'under £120' you speak of is now £0 here, so every item is now £18,45 more expensive).
    It's a sad thing but I'll survive :face-with-head-bandage:...

On an order from another EU country? That would be strange, because in that case you should have paid VAT in the seller’s country and not in your own. Now you’re out of the EU, though, you don’t technically need to pay VAT in the EU but in the UK — but there appear to be various arrangements in place so that you pay your UK VAT to the overseas seller, who then passes it on to the UK or something. As I recall, the trouble with getting that arranged and working is what stopped a lot of shops from selling to UK customers at all last year.

Mark! kindly suggested Simoniz clear lacquer, over on my Audi R8 thread. Picked some up yesterday from Euro Car parts - £5.49 against £9 in Halfords.

Mark wasn't kidding, it is very shiny! Works out pretty cheap too - that's a 500ml can. It's drying on the Audi as I type this.

Thank you gentlemen. Dzohn, the jeep fills out an infantry Hvy Wpns Co., The 1 1/2 (one is short some pcs) short wheelbase 2 1/2tonners are to fill out an infantry regiment Cannon Co. section. The M54 5tonner will be a basis for a semi-scratch 6ton wrecker & the Corbit is just because you can't have too many.

Bless her!! Apparently ,the reason for the slippers was.......
                                .... "Well,.....you`ll never grow up will you"........:flushed:
and the reason for the book,(Which i`m sure many of you will be familiar with),was pretty much the same comment..... although it was accompanied by a swear word regarding the amount of books i read and films i watch!...... Have to say though..... Guilty as charged!!:surprised:
