The two boxes of figures are classic early Tamiya offerings and still are nice for dios with a little deeper engravings of the detail.

Nothing major wrong with it except that you shouldn’t fit the additional armour plates on the hull sides unless you also change the engine deck and hull rear plate to those of an M4A2 :smiling3:
Thanks Jakko for you input on this kit as well when I build it I’ll remember that

Bargain off ebay - £16 inc postage! Its a very nicely detailed kit , in typical late monogram fashion . The only area of the kit that needs improvement is ironically the most notable feature of the A10 , the gau 8 avenger gun . The kit part is unbelievably moulded integrally with each fuselage half , so not only has no vent holes but also a couple of nasty seams to deal with. So another £8 was spent on a beautiful aftermarket brass gun Click image for larger version

One of my faves also. How many jets do you see w/exposed tires? Strictly mission function in design.

You may remember my troubles spraying Mr. Color lacquer paints, so I ordered the corresponding thinner, plus a few other items: an aerosol can of Vallejo primer and airbrush flow improver by the same brand. On the site of the shop I ordered this, I also noticed the Trumpeter F-107, and thought I’d get that too due to it being a very unusual-looking plane. I was then informed that it was out of stock, and they would back-order it for delivery “most likely next week”. That was in November … apparently (per an e-mail I got from them), the shipment containing the back-ordered model was lost in transit to the shop, so it took until today for it to arrive at my house.

This is why I’m not a fan of online shops that don’t list only the things they actually have in stock (or at least give you the option of hiding the things they don’t have right now).

Always thought that the Ultra Sabre was a dodgy piece of work - that intake just behind the cockpit - bet you couldn't run the engine with the canopy open - & ejecting must have been a real nightmare!

I kind of doubt the canopy could be open with the engine on, no. It lifted almost straight upward, by the way, instead of pivoting on the back (or front). As for ejecting, that was apparently no problem — North American did its homework with the design, and even though it looks unusual, everything worked well enough.

The botanics are for another plan of mine and I hope to finish it this time. I also kinda sorta broke my own rule, but a lot of you here on the forum are to blame this time. There are so many floaty thing builds going on, I felt I had to jump in and join the club,

Surprising bargain in the Midl of Lidl this week. £5 mini drill set with clamp plus various bridges, good range of precision bits and some sets of teeny tiny ones. Tested a few on plastic and wood and am rather impressed - nice clean holes and even if the bits break there are numerous spares (30 in sets of five I think). Have a shifty if The Enemy packs you off shopping.
