I have a feeling that would get a lot of people up in arms: “I bought a set of signs and then I found I have to pay even more for decals for them?!” or “I bought a set of signs and then I found I have to paint them myself?!”

But yeah, MiniArt would probably do well to be a bit more generic or provide more options in a single box. With these signs, I could see it work well as the signs with a set of generic decals, suitable for much of the world where these types of signs are used, and then maybe sell sets of decals only that cover specific things, like here.

You're being way to practical Jakko...........a little less logic is not a bad thing and requires less exertion of brain cells, grey matter etc. just sort of goes along much easier with the laid back relaxing hobby we all enjoy so much. :thumb2: :tongue-out3::tongue-out2::tongue-out: Rick H.

Being more than slightly cynical, why not issue different sets made from one set of molds, but different decals/faces and sell different boxed sets at a decent profit?
Being more of a 'skinflint', I'd prefer to be able to buy a blank set, and buy the decals for the scenario that I'm doing (then just buy a set of decals for the next scenario at a vastly lower price )

Not sure about this - their other combined boxings are of different models. - This is essentially one model, with variations - I suppose it'll depend on the price level..........

Arma Hobby have a very good reputation for their models - I wonder how this stacks up against the Airfix Martlet, which is a cracking little model? The AH has photoetch, against which the Airfix model has the option of folded wings- it'd be nice to see a side by side comparison build!
Dave
Edit: I have an Airfix Martlet in the stash, but I decided to see how widely available it is - the answer is hardly! I found one retailer in the UK, and even ebay could offer only sellers in the USA! It seems that Airfix only produce limited runs of models, so you have to be pretty quick off the mark.

Odd boxart - gives more prominence to the trailer!

Hmmmm ICM announced their G7107 at the end of May, pity they both selected the same subject ( albeit with a different load bed ).

Yeah but the 7107 will be the number parts in the miniart one!

Now they need to release a US heavy trailer w/smoke generator aboard for behind it.

I reckon MiniArt needs to do a MkIV panzer, not to many of them on the market! :tongue-out3::tears-of-joy:

Going by the ICM box art:—

I’d say they have the same load bed, just ICM’s has wooden bits on the basic floor and sides.

Never seen steel wheeled dumpsters like those - are they common?

Never seen anything like that here but I am sure I saw something similar in Germany that get lifted by a hydraulic system on the bin lorry.

These steel bins were common in Germany in the 80's when I was there but can't comment about now. They were normally galvanised.
